Life Hacks to Surviving Glasto On A Diet

Surviving Glasto- Our top food hacks

Nut butters

A number of companies like Nuttzo and Pip & Nut are now supplying on-the-go single-serving packets of nut butters such as almond, hazelnut, or peanut.

Simply tear open the packet and take back the goodness that’s rich in healthy fats, protein, and a number of important minerals. Look for options with the least amount of added sugar. I recommend Pip and Nut.

Prepare your eggs and don’t get smashed.

Crack all your eggs and store them in a single container. This is perfect for omelettes and scrambled eggs. Bringing a dozen eggs not only takes up room but will also, at least for me, induce unwanted stress. If your feeling lazy you can buy liquid whole eggs or liquid egg whites. You can get these in Sainsbury’s or Tesco.

More nuts

Nuts like peanuts, cashews, and almonds make for a crunchy way to add more protein and healthy unsaturated fats to your diet. They pack about 6 grams of protein per 2-ounce serving and even better you can carry them around and take up no space.

Beef Jerky

Beef jerky is one lean, mean snack option that’s good for more than just road trips and festivals. With a surprising 10:1 protein-to-fat ratio for most brands, beef jerky between meals is a perfect way to show your muscles some love.

Protein Bars

Looking for convenient, delicious protein snack on the go? There’s a wide selection of protein bars available today that provide decent amounts of protein. If you’re watching your calories, check the fat, carbohydrate and sugar content to ensure you’re not just eating a protein-laced sugary mess. I recommend Carb Killers by grenade. Awesome high protein bars, low sugar and amazing taste.

Stack Your Pancakes

Protein Pancakes are my favorite next great protein snack to take with you on the go.

Whip these beasts before you go and they’ll be ready when you need them.

To prepare these mix

1 cup of egg whites 200- 300g depending on size

1-2 scoops of your favorite protein powder. I recommend effectiv whey

Blend until mixed well

pour onto a pre-heated pan coated with coconut oil

Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes or until edges are brown and then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.

You should easily get 5-6 large pancakes from this recipe.

Increase amounts for more protein filled delights
